*****SPOILERS*****

Synopsis: Two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, come to the town of Lior, which follows faithfully a religion of the Sun God Leto, a religion run by a priest named Cornello, who performs "miracles". The Elrics insist, however, that Cornello is using alchemy, and they believe their search for the fabled Philosopher's Stone may have come to an end. Confronting Cornello, they face vicious chimera beasts and the power of Cornello's stone. However, it is clear that Edward is no ordinary alchemist.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - OVERALL REVIEW (Part 2)

"Aw, you brought home your little friends. Well, play nice."Olivier was not pleased that she wasn't in the first series. SOUND/MUSIC A large part of bringing the characters alive in an animated television series or movie is the voice acting. In the manga, you just imagine the voices, but in animation, voices are provided, and ideally, these are voices that you will closely associate with the characters, so a strong cast is valuable. Fortunately, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has an excellent cast. Romi Paku and Rie Kugimiya reprise their roles as the brothers Elric, and perform as brilliantly as ever.

*****SPOILERS*****

Synopsis: Edward encounters his father, Hohenheim, at his mother's grave, who chides him for burning down their house. That night, Hohenheim asks Pinako about the "thing" his sons transmuted, with Ed listening in secret. The next day, after Hohenheim leaves, Ed and Pinako dig up the "thing", and it turns out to not be his mother after all. This leads Ed to believe he can bring Al back from beyond the "doors". When Ed returns to Central, he informs Al of his findings. He also calls Izumi and asks about her own experience with human transmutation. As it turns out, the dead cannot be brought back, regardless of effort. Ed and Al then vow to continue working on a way to restore their bodies.

Fullmetal Alchemist Chapter 108 (END) (SPOILERS)

My thoughts on Fullmetal Alchemist chapter 108 (THE END):

One hundred and eight chapters of Hiromu Arakawa's fantasy-action-drama. Nine years of it. Granted, I haven't been following it for nine years (more like six), but I feel like I've invested quite a bit of time reading, discussing, debating, arguing, ranting, raving, theorizing, fankwanking, reviewing, and spriting the characters, storylines, and mysteries of this epic tale of two brothers looking to get back what they lost in a terrible mistake, guided by the principal they had so tragically ignored.

So, how then, after all this time, does Hiromu Arakawa wrap up this nine year endeavor? With pomp and extravagance? With bitter tragedy? With a disturbing mind screw? Rocks fall, everyone dies? What could possibly give the thousands of fans a satisfying conclusion to this story of both dispair and hope?
