1&1 Sales: A Story of Fail

As some of you may already know imgDump.info has successfully used up the file limitations on it's host. In order to address the issue and continue to expand imgDump I've contacted the host, 1&1. The email I sent them is as follows. (Minus a few spelling mistakes I've only noticed now >_
Hello,

I have been a customer of 1&1 for a long time now with two separate hosting accounts.

Recently I have hit the file quota on my one account, 255,410 of 262,144 used. My storage space and bandwidth quota are still well within reasonable bounds.

In order to develop my site further I need to add more files (all of which are web content).

Is it possible to increase this limit and continue my services?

I understand that the term often used in replace of files is inode. I also know that inodes are only an issue on linux/unix file systems. If is not possible to increase the limit with my current plan, 1&1 Business Package, would switching to the Microsoft Hosting eliminate the quota or at least expand it greatly?

VPS hosts do not offer enough spaces and dedicated hosts are beyond my price point.

Thank you,
Judson
Note how I don't ask about storage space, only the file quote. I also ask about inodes and the difference between their Linux & Microsoft hosting packages. This is the response I received this morning...
Dear Judson,

Thank you for contacting us.

The only way to increase disk space is to upgrade to the Developer package that would give you 300Gb. Because this is shared hosting, 1and1 cannot resize accounts without negatively affecting other website package owners.

Please visit our website for more information about our products http://www.1and1.com/sales.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Note how none of my concerns where addressed. The last time they said I should upgrade packages, I did, only to find that the stupid file limitation did not change at all. With any luck my next response will ultimately result in proper answers.
