Gunpla Review - April 2011

I've decided to start up a new series, Gunpla Review, a look back at the past month of gunpla. I suppose I'll need to craft a fancy header image before May is up. It's an attempt to share some projects, finished in the past month, which have caught my eye. I also wanted to highlight some ongoing WIPs worth following. If I missed any of your favorites please share them via comments below! And no, these are not in any particular order.

Finished Kits

Freya's SD Nightingale - I love the color scheme and the LED really sets it off.

Zeta Newtype's Guncannon Restored - Amazing LED work.

DC23's 1/35 Turn-A Head - Wow, what a difference between the original and the finished product. Amazing texturing.

Z's MG Destiny (Extreme Blast Burst) - A wonderful straight build, I was blown away by the poses and photography.

Sherwin's HMM Blade Liger - Okay, not a technically gunpla, but too fantastic not to include. Wonderful paint job with amazing details.

Shifty's MG Ball - Shifty decided to forgo the external armor and focus on the internal details. Between the choice of colors and fantastic weathering it's one of the best MG Balls out there.

WIPs to Watch

GG's RG Stike - Yeah, the bastard got one early, and he's setting up one hell of a dio for it.

Zeta Newtype's MG Nemo (for the Grunt MS Build Group) - It shouldn't be a surprising to anyone, but I love the Nemos.

Lupes' PG Strike Freedom - Damn him, putting me to shame with his stupid sexy Freedom. It'd probably have been finished by now but someone has been busy adding LEDs to his PG wing...

Krescenhaze's MG Unicorn - Holy custom work, Banagher.

Julius’s PG Blue Frame Conversion Project - Turning a PG Red Frame into a PG Blue Frame? OMFG
