schlocky mom

Now, call me a socialist elitist baby-killing God-hating liberal, if you will, or whatever the Republican voter base is calling anyone with sense these days, but I hardly think that being the governor of Alaska, a state that has people moving for independence from the United States (it's true, look up "Alaskan Indpendence Party") and shooting caribou qualifies you to be a step away from achieving highest political office in the nation. Yes, Barack Obama isn't exactly a long-time political player either, but he's done far more and is far better educated that a self-professed "hockey mom" with radical religious beliefs.

Now, granted, Vice President of the United States isn't a difficult job by any measure. The job is basically hoping the President doesn't die. Anyone can do it. Even me. However, given that John McCain is one grabber away from the land of wind and ghosts, Palin could very well be in the Oval Office if that ticket is elected into office. Now, far be it for me to call attention to the VP pick when McCain himself is so flawed, and feeble, but it hurts to see all those folks at the Republican National Convention just going hog wild when they hear that the woman who hands out the Capri Sun after practice is going after "the Washington elite". Elite, as in rich? Like most of the major players of the Republican Party? Or elite as in educated, like Barack Obama? I hope you decide which is the elite you're gunning for, Sarah. You know, while you're hunting for large game on the campaign trail.

I just hope you're a better shot than Dick Cheney.
