Dragon Ball Kai - Episode 63 Review

Episode 63, "Pursue Doctor Gero...! The Search for the Mysterious Laboratory!" or, "Dr. Gero Needs Changing" How absolutely horrifying. These two need Clear Eyes. Wow. *****SPOILERS***** Synopsis: Future Trunks saves Bulma and his baby self and is offended when he sees that his father is more concerned with 20's escaping. Vegeta flies off, astounding the teen. Bulma reveals that Artificial Human No. 20 is Dr. Gero, who she recognizes from a book of scientists. Vegeta blames Trunks for misinforming them about the situation, but Trunks reasons he must've changed time via his interference. Trunks describes the Trunks from his timeline as being a young man and woman and not needing to absorb energy, as they have unlimited power. Back on Mt. Paozu, Yamucha gives Goku his heart medicine. Bulma tells everyone that Gero's lab is somewhere near North City. Piccolo suggests they get to his lab before he can and destroy the other Artificial Humans before they can be activated. Vegeta, however, won't hear of it, wanting to challenge them. He ignores Trunks' warning and flies off. Piccolo, Trunks, Kuririn, and Tenshinhan go off to find the lab, while Gohan is tasked with taking Bulma, baby Trunks, and Yajirobe away. Dr. Gero/20 spots Kuririn and attacks him, threatening him, and then running off. Kuririn starts to let off ki to warn the others, but then decides to find the laboratory first. "I only had one of those McRibs!"Father-son bonding.   Comments: (Sorry about the timestamped screenshots!) Ah, father and son bonding. We join our heroes in this episode with Trunks being pissed at his father for not giving a shit about his baby son and slutwhorebitchcumcatcher. I can understand not saving Bulma, since she's survived worse, but Trunks is his progeny. You would think he'd be checking that kid's power level every day to see if his son is going to do him proud. Well, then again, when Nappa suggested they extend their race by mating with other similar races (in a filler scene in DBZ cut out for Kai), Vegeta was disinterested. Vegeta probably eats babies for breakfast. What, exactly, is "unlimited power"? How can the other androids have "unlimited power"? There's no fucking such thing as "unlimited power". People always bitch about how Dr. Gero could have possibly constructed androids more powerful than Freeza, but it's this "unlimited power" bullshit that bothers me. Nothing has endless energy. What does that even mean? They can live forever? They can fire as many beams as they want always? If the Artificial Humans can fire beams, how can they have no detectable ki? Those beams are made of ki, right? Even for Dragon Ball this is nonsensical. What do they have, little white holes in them? Shit, Dr. Gero should have patented that shit instead of gone on a crazy revenge plan. He could have ruled the world through money. What a dumb fuck. Meanwhile, it looks like poor Artificial Fogie's ready to evacuate himself several times throughout this episode. Shoulda worn his adult daiper. Oh hey, the Funimation remaster!"Bitch, I'm about to up your Owned meter!" Overall Score: 3 out of 5
