Once again, I'm evaluating all the English dubs from the anime I've reviewed in the second half of the year. It's a pretty good variety of dubs, in terms of studios. The only two titles that share the same one are Eden of the East and Lupin III: Island of Assassins. And the quality is likewise varied, with the troublesome Mewtwo Strikes Back dub from 4Kids, the just kind of "there" of X TV, despite it's excellent cast, and the highs of FLCL's classic masterpiece of a dub. Lots of shades in the spaces between, too.
And I guess the tradition for year end videos is my discussion of Steven Universe with Golex. Well, since it's wrapping up next year, this might just be a two-time thing, three at the most. I'll find some other thing to put in after a while. Spinel, Peridot, Volleyball, and Lapis aside, whatever happened to Lemon Jade? You know, the Gem that fused during "Together Alone" when she saw the others fuse in defiance? Anyway, I hope she's in an episode of Future.
I'll be taking some time off, so I'll see you in February... maybe. I might actually be late, though I'm planning to do a new series of non-anime reviews sooner. I'm usually on Twitter, if you want to see me bitching about anime and talk lefty politics. I'm sure to get bored and start working on new videos sometime in the next few weeks, if I'm entirely honest.
