2013 Washington Auto Show - Lower Concourse Photo Gallery - Part 1

Today I took my annual trip to the Washington Auto Show in, you guessed it, Washington DC. This year it runs from February 1st through the 10th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. I took a ton of photos this year so I decided to share them here on OR. While I normally hate sites that break up articles across many pages I figured it would be for the best here due to the number of pictures.

Only one R8 this year, but with a cool matte gray finish.

 Aston Martin

All of the Austons were spread out over a larger space then they really needed and far enough behind a rope line that no one could touch.

 BMW

Cadillac

 Fisker

Yay Mr. Mustache car!

 Honda

 Hyandai

 Infiniti

I couldn't get a picture of it but Infiniti's awesome IPL G Coupe came in an awesome dark plum colour.

 Jaguar

The new Jaguars look fantastic, including the 2013 F-Type. The first time we walked by there was some guy giving an interview and asking some of the worst questions impossible. It felt like the Jaguar representative was doing what he could to tolerate this guy. Later this fellow performed an awful dance number in the back of Nissans giant NV cargo van.

 Kia

Kia featured an Optima and Forte modeled after DC superheroes Batman and Cyborg respectfully. I'm guessing you have to know DC comics really well to pick up that the Forte was modeled after Cyborg. It just looked awful, who made the decision to design a car after such an un-iconic character? The Batman car looked alright, good paint job and decent design elements, but were bothered that accent lights seemed poorly and improperly placed. The best overhead quote of the day came courtesy this car, "It would be awesome... if only it wasn't a Kia."
