Episode 19, "Grudge! The Longest Day at Kurogane House: Part 1"

Synopsis: Dr. Hell has identified Tsubasa as a major threat to his plans, and dispatches Viscount Pygman to remove her. Pygman summons the ghost of Tetsuya Tsurugi, a pilot who worked with the Bardos research time piloting Kenzo’s prototype robot. Kouji consults Baron Ashura, who is being hunted by his former allies, in helping Tsubasa. Pygman arrives at the Kurogane House as a hologram and a robot appears that looks very much like Mazinger Z. It’s called Energer Z, and it’s piloted by Kenzo Kabuto. read more

Episode 24, "The Sighs of Haruhi Suzumiya (Part 1)" (Well, at least it’s not "Endless Eight"…)

Synopsis: Eager to take part in North High’s cultural festival, Haruhi plans for the SOS Brigade to do a project of their own, rather than pay attention to class projects. Inspired by a bad movie she watched one night, she resolves to make a great film. She casts Mikuru in the lead and insists on Kyon doing all the menial labor work, while she directs. She drags Kyon and Mikuru with her to get a camera and some other material for the movie, easily recieving them for free after talking to store owners, but Kyon has a bad feeling about it. read more

Dragon Ball Z Kai- Episode 18 Review

Episode 18,"The Spaceship That Sleeps in Yuzabit! Blast Off for Planet Namek", or "Bulma, The Racist! Can a Popo Get a Table Dance?"

Synopsis: At a hospital, Goku, Gohan, and Kuririn recover from their injuries from the battle with Vegeta. Goku will be unable to leave for months, but Gohan and Kuririn are soon to be released. Bulma arrives and tries to activate the pod Nappa left behind, but presses the wrong button and it explodes. Everyone is in dispair, until Mr. Popo appears, offering to show them to what he believes is a spaceship. Popo takes Bulma to the Yunzabit Highlands, where he shows Bulma the spaceship that Kami came to Earth on. Using the Namekian language, Popo is able to activate the ship. Back at the hospital, Popo says that he’ll teach Bulma the Namek language, but won’t go with her to Namek. Kuririn volunteers to go with her, as does Gohan, despite Chi Chi’s objections. Some days later, Bulma, Gohan, and Bulma blast off in the spaceship for Namek.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood – Episode 19 Review

Episode 19, "Death of the Undying"

*****SPOILERS*****

Synopsis: Hawkeye and Fuery are unable to take out Gluttony, but recieve help from Col. Mustang, who blows him away with his flame alchemy, at least temporarily. Roy, Riza, Havoc, Alphonse, and Barry follow Barry’s body into Laboratory #3’s basement, where they split up into groups. Roy and Lt. Havoc encounter Lust, who stabs Havoc through the spine and injures Roy as well, leaving him for dead. Al and Hawkeye find Barry with his rotting body, but they are joined by Lust. Lust tears Barry apart and prepares to kill the other two, but Roy arrives, and using a makeshift alchemy circle drawn on his hand and Havoc’s lighter, he incinerates Lust repeatedly until she can no longer regenerate. Bradley spots the group, but walks away instead of engaging them. Meanwhile, back in Risembool, Edward arrives, and finds his father there. read more

Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z-Hen – Episode 18 Review

Episode 18, "Obliteration! Mycenae Armageddon!"

Synopsis: Kouji, Tsubasa, Ashura, and others are trapped in the Kedora’s memory world, watching events involving Duke Gorgon and Ashura’s former selves. Ashura is captured and the others escape at the apparent cost of Cross and Yasu’s lives. Gorgon seals Tristan and Iseult away in anticipation of Hades’ arrival. Then he tricks Zeus into thinking Ashura is a sacrifice, and Hades strikes, injuring him. Django and Master sacrifice themselves to defeat Gorgon while Kouji uses the Mazinger to fight Garadoubla. Tsubasa convinces Ashura to open the gate to where the Kedora is and kills it while Kouji joins Zeus in defeating Hades. Kouji, Tsubasa, and Ashura return to the real world, only to see the Kedora’s final revelation, which features Kouji’s father and Dr. Hell finding Ashura’s cacoon. read more

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya – Episode 23 Review

Episode 23, "Endless Eight (Part 8)" (FINAL PART)

Synopsis: This time around, Kyon has an idea. Realizing what Haruhi has said about doing her homework within three days, while he hasn’t touched his, Kyon suggests the SOS Brigade go to his house and finish any homework they might have. Haruhi insists on coming as well, and so September 1st finally arrives. Kyon and Itsuki play cards in the clubroom.

So, here we are. Finally, the "Endless Eight" episodes end. Eight episodes based on a single short story, no more than thirty pages long. Two more episodes than the adaptation of the entire first novel got in the first season. Eight ninths of the new episodes in the season thus far. After having waited for three years for more episodes, this is what we get. read more
