Synopsis: Duke Gorgon is defeated by Count Brocken explosive bodies, but Kedora continues to menace, going after the Japanium ore under the Photon Power Labs. Reluctantly, Kouji and Tsubasa team up with Ashura to pursue the escaped Kedora into a dream world that it created of its memories, where everything in it can actually hurt those who’ve entered. There, they see the history of Ashura’s former selves, Tristan and Iseult, and their pact with Duke Gorgon to kill Zeus with the help of Hades. Unfortunately, the whole group is found by Gorgon and his team and face the Mechanical Beast Garadoubla. read more

Dragon Ball Z Kai- Episode 17 Review

Episode 17,"Son Goku: Retarded? One Bump Too Many!" … er, I mean, "The Fierce Dawn… Star of Hope Is Piccolo’s Birthplace"

Synopsis: Just as Kuririn is about to finish Vegeta off with Yajirobe’s sword, Goku pleads for him to let the Saiyan prince go, out of desire to fight him again someday. Hesitantly, Kuririn complies, and Vegeta blasts off in his pod ship. Master Roshi, Bulma, Chi-Chi, and Karin arrive, and pick up Goku and the others. They also put the bodies of Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Piccolo in storage. Kuririn comes up with the idea of going to the planet Namek, where Kami originated, and using their Dragon Balls to ressurect their dead friends. Kaio gives them the coordinates, but Bulma says it’s too far using even the fastest spaceship available. Kuririn suggests they use Nappa’s pod, since he’s dead, and pulls out a controller to one that he picked up. Bulma approves of this idea and the group is determined to go to Namek. read more

Episode 18, "The Arrogant Palm of a Puny Human"

Synopsis: Major Armstrong escorts Edward to Risembool, where they meet with Breda and head out of the country to the remains of the country of Xerxes. While at the Xerxes ruins, Edward is shocked to see Maria Ross, alive and well. It’s revealed that Roy set up a fake death for her and smuggled her out of the country using Barry, Ling, and Fu. Back at Central, Ling fills in Alphonse and Winry. Ed reaffirms his vow to get his and his brother’s bodies back, adding that he will protect who ever gets involved. Fu escorts Ross to Xing, where she will live until she can return to Amestris. Back at Central, Barry’s body attacks Falman, but Havoc and Barry (in the armor) lures it outside where Hawkeye shoots it in its hand. However, Gluttony arrives to take her out. read more

Episode 17, "Cool-Headed Flames"

Synopsis: Taken into military custody for the death of Maes Hughes, Maria Ross is being railroaded for a murder she didn’t commit. Discovering her arrest from the newspaper, Edward and Alphonse to go to ask around. Barry the Chopper breaks into the prison to release Ross, and meets and releases Ling as well. During their escape, they run into Ed and Al, and Barry advises Ross to run. She complies, but encounters Roy Mustang, who burns her alive with his flames, leaving nothing but a charred corpse. Barry and Ling flee and Ed confronts Roy. Later, Riza Hawkeye takes vacation time, leaving Roy to his own devices. Barry brings Ling back to Falman, and they’re soon joined by Fu and Ranfan. Major Armstrong comes to where Ed is staying and damages his automail, then insists on taking him back to Risembool for repairs, but insisting Al stay in Central. Meanwhile, the homunculi plan to use Barry’s real body to go after him. read more

Episode 16, "Exhumation! Battle Intelligence Kedora!"

Synopsis: Upset by the revelation of his parentage, Kouji decides that he and Shiro will live at the Photon Power Labs, ignoring Tsubasa’s advice to him. Unable to sleep at night, he talks with Sayaka, but they’re interrupted by Mazinger Z, which has been put under control of Kedora, a strange creature Dr. Hell has sent. Kedora, as it happens, is the battle intelligence for the Mechanical Beasts, and transforms Mazinger into a giant demon. With Tsubasa’s help, Kouji is able to regain control and drive Kedora away. Dr. Hell is then confronted by someone who slumbered in the chamber where the Kedora were kept: Duke Gorgon. read more

Dragon Ball Z Kai- Episode 16 Review

Episode 16,"The Invincible Vegeta Defeated! Son Gohan Summons a Miracle"

Synopsis: With encouragement from Goku and Kaio, Kuririn fires the Genki Dama, which Vegeta dodges, but is deflected by Gohan and hits the target. Vegeta appears to have been killed by the Genki Dama, but recovers, although in very bad shape. Discovering Gohan’s tail has grown back, Vegeta tries to dispatch him before he sees the artificial moon, but thanks to a diversion by Yajirobe, Gohan transforms before he can be killed. In his Oozaru form, Gohan hurts Vegeta badly. Vegeta cuts off Gohan’s tail, but Gohan falls on him before completely transforming back. Exhausted and bloody, Vegeta summons his pod ship to escape the planet, but Kuririn confronts him with Yajirobe’s sword, intending to finish him off. read more

Synopsis: Edward, Alphonse, Winry, and their Xingese aquaintances arrive at Central, where Ling disappears and is picked up by the military for entering the country illegally. Winry goes to visit the Hughes household. Roy has a conversation with Armstrong about the brothers in relation to Hughes’ death. He ends up lying to them about it, but Maria Ross accidently causes Ed to realize it. Ed and Al go visit Gracia and tell her and Winry about Hughes helping them out. Gracia tells them to continue on their quest to regain their bodies. The homunculi discuss current events and decide to keep Roy busy with something. Ross is arrested for the murder of Hughes while Havoc goes on a date with "Solaris", who is actually Lust. read more

Episode 15, "Showdown! The Sorrowful Blue Danube!"

Synopsis: The hologram of Kenzo Kabuto is revealed to be a program placed in Gamia to fool Stroheim. Baron Ashura returns to the mansion with a Mechanical Beast borrowed from Count Brocken, demanding to be given the Danube, Stroheim’s giant robot. Ashura is able to use his/her staff to control it, but is confronted by Stroheim. Ashura counters the scientist’s electric shock, sending him falling off of the Mechanical Beast to his death. As he lay dying, Stroheim reveals Lorelei’s true nature, the core of the Danube, and instructs her to take control of it. She complies, much to his delight, and destroys the Mechanical Beast. She then challenges the reactivated Mazinger Z, but Kouji overcomes her. Shiro cries as the Danube, and Lorelei, destroyed, call his name. read more
