*****SPOILERS*****
Synopsis: Majin Kuu challenges Tamagami Number One, fully confident in his skill. Meanwhile, Goku's group goes through Lord Warp to the Second Demon World. They barely escape a Kraken, which devours their ship. Panzy manages to save the Dragon Ball with Goku's help. They spot the old Namekian planet, which is abandoned. Goku senses Vegeta's group, and leads them to the planet. Majin Kuu is unable to keep up with the Tamagami and admits defeat, disappointing Arinsu. Kaioshin reveals the origin of the universes. Both groups crowd into Hybis' ship, just as an old Namekian approaches.
Comments:
Majin Kuu goes into action, and we see just what he's made of... which is not much, because he completely fails to defeat, or even really damage, Tamagami Number One. Now, it's true that the Tamagami might be really, really powerful, but all the lead up to Kuu coming to a comical ending is actually pretty amusing to me. Especially since Kuu has a kind of generic design and was expected to immediately take down a powerful opponent. His washing out after his first try to do anything was funny, as was his attitude towards his defeat, insisting to Arinsu that he could be useful in other avenues, such as singing, or shopping. Normally I might be frustrated that they went through all that trouble for a punchline, but it makes a kind of sense for this show, and for a Toriyama-related project. I wonder what the story has in store for Kuu next. Will he really be fired or does he merely need more time in the oven? Arinsu is starting to get humiliated here.
Goku's group and Vegeta's finally meets up and combines in this episode, thanks partially to the former group's loss of ship to the Kraken. I wonder if the Kraken is really all that powerful or it's just because the Saiyans have been shrunk down that they can't take it on. I can't help thinking if Goku went Super Saiyan 3 or combined with Vegeta to make Vegetto they could beat at least one. But it's good to see them meet up to take on the next challenge. The more the merrier, I say. Now Bulma and Panzy can bond and Goku and Vegeta can team up. Also, it'll be harder for Glorio to manipulate matters. He's playing with more fire.
The biggest thing in this episode, though, is the revelations over the origin of the universes. Apparently the Demon Realm was instrumental in the creation of the multiverse, the impetus being to extend Demon Realm's territory by a previous king. Apparently a majin called Rymus, the most powerful being in existence, did this, and sent out the Glinds to monitor the universes. I don't know where this puts Zeno and the angels in the hierarchy, though. Is Zeno related to Rymus? I expect this whole cosmology thing to be resolved sometime during the run of this series, because it''s a little confusing.
Also, is that Neva shuffling toward Hybis' ship there, in the end? What's he about to do?
Glorio Watch: He's got his work cut out for him if he plans on betraying everyone for Arinsu. He's got Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo in that group. There's no way he could take on all of them. I wonder what he plans on doing?
It looks like in the next episode, Vegeta's taking on Tamagami Number Two. I wonder if he'll be able to beat it on his own or he'll need to fuse with Goku. Vegeta's itching for a fight and I'm itching to watch him in one.
