Episode 9, “Thieves”

Synopsis: Goku’s group stops at a hotel for the night to sleep. While there, thieves attempt to steal the Dragon Ball they obtained, but are quickly thwarted. Meanwhile, Vegeta’s group’s plane has been stolen in retaliation for his beating some thugs in a fight. An irritated Gomah is informed by Dagasu of the defeat of the Third Tamagami. Goku’s group meets up with Vegeta’s, but informs them there’s not enough room on their plane, so they get left behind. The ones who stole Hybis’ ship reappear with backup and are again taken down by Vegeta and Piccolo. Marba combines her creation with a Saibaiman and a creature named Majin Kuu is born. Arinsu orders him to take down the First Tamagami. read more

Episode 8, “Tamagami”

Synopsis: Goku faces off with Tamagami Number 3. The battle is evenly matched until Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan and uses a Kamahemaha, then delivering a final blow. However, Goku has to pass a final test before he can claim the Dragon Ball: a shell game. Goku correctly points out that the Dragon Ball used in the game was thrown over a villager’s head at the last moment, winning the game. Glorio reports to Arinsu that they’ve obtained the first Dragon Ball. Gomah and Dogasu discover that Arinsu was at the scene of Vegeta’s attempt to bring down Majin Buu in the past. Arinsu is meanwhile enlisting the help of a witch named Marba, who created Buu for Bibidi, to make a new Majin monster. Hybis receives word of Goku’s victory and an order to go to Lord Warp. read more

Episode 7, “Collar”

Synopsis: Hybis arrives on Earth at Kami’s temple. He brings Vegeta, Piccolo, and Bulma to the Third Demon World. Gomah’s men stop Goku and the others. The group manages to hide Goku, but when the soldiers try to arrest Panzy, are forced to fight. With their ship damaged in the fight, the group is forced to take a Gendarmerie plane. Before taking off, Panzy laments that her collar means Gomah’s men can follow easily. Kaioshin uses a spell to destroy the collar, freeing Panzy. Goku’s group arrives at a town where a Tamagami stands. Goku challenges the robot-looking Dragon Ball defender, Tamagami Number 3. read more

Episode 6, “Lightning”

Synopsis: After a sudden landing in the desert, the group jettisons some of the packed material to lighten the load for the plane. Gomah’s soldiers appear and question Glorio, Kaioshin, and Panzy when Goku is out of sight. Satisfied with their answers, they take off. At night, the party decides to camp in a cave, but are attacked by a raging minotaur. Goku and Glorio debate over who’s strongest, and thus capable of taking on the monster. This leads to a sparring match to decide who is strongest, in which Glorio utilizes lightning magic. Goku, however, after transforming into a Super Saiyan, is easily able to counter his power and win the match. The minotaur escapes back into the cave. Back on Earth, Bulma finishes her work on the ship, but when Vegeta, Kibito, and Piccolo take off, it malfunctions. read more

Episode 5, “Panzy”

Synopsis: The girl the group meets, whose name is Panzy, says that she knows the way to the castle. On the way, Panzy reveals that she’s actually 82 years old. In the First Demon World, Gomah oversees Dende’s care, hoping that he can get him to produce new Dragon Balls for him. When Goku and the group get to the castle, it’s revealed that Panzy is the princess. The king is reluctant to believe that Goku and his friends on Earth defeated Majin Buu, so he has Goku’s strength tested in a battle against his men. Goku easily takes them down. The king gives the group a plane so they can reach the Tamagamis, which promptly breaks down as soon as they take off. read more
