Synopsis: Edward and Alphonse ask for Major General Armstrong’s help in finding Mei, which she only agrees to in order to obtain a possible new weapon to defend Briggs with. She orders her subordinate Miles to find the brothers work. Walking through the base, Miles reveals that he is part Ishbalan, but was accepted by Olivier. Edward expresses his desire to not be ignorant, which Miles finds amusing. The brothers are given the duty to take down icicles, along with Falman, who was transferred to Briggs. Suddenly, a homunculus, Sloth, digs its way into the base, with Ed suspecting he’s been followed. The soldiers attack Sloth, but to no effect. Suddenly, Olivier has an idea.
Episode 33, " The Northern Wall Of Briggs"

Synopsis: Kimbley continues to track Scar and Marcoh, leading him North. When he finds Scar, it’s not Marcoh with him, but Yoki: Marcoh and Mei aren’t with him. After a short fight, Kimbley is pinned to the back of a train car with a metal pipe, but Kimbley destroys the back of the train and gets away. Edward and Alphonse, meanwhile, have made their way to the Briggs mountains and encounter Major General Olivier Mira Armstrong, Alex Louis Armstrong’s sister, and the commander in charge of the Briggs fortress. Reluctantly, she bids them entry. In another part of the mountains, Marcoh and Mei reach the spot where Scar hid his brother’s notes and uncover them.
Episode 32, "The Führer President’s Son"

Synopsis: Edward and Alphonse continue looking for Mei and Xaio Mei, but have no luck. Kimbley tracks the movements of Scar and Marcoh, going to the West HQ to investigate. Grumman, in drag, arrives in Central and talks to Mustang at Hughes’ grave. He reveals that he was approached once by General Raven about an "immortal army", but dismissed it and was transferred. The brothers go to the library to research Xingese alchemy. Edward is told by Major Armstrong that Mei was seen headed North, and gives him a letter of introduction to go to the Briggs base, where Major General Armstrong is stationed. Alphonse is approached by Selim Bradley, who is excited to meet the brothers. After a misunderstanding, Ed and Al end up talking to Mrs. Bradley at the presidential house, where King Bradley himself arrives for a short time. After their discussion, Ed and Al hurry off to go north.
So, while indulging in a Mexican standoff (or was it Mexican takeout?) to decide who makes the cut here, the geeks who assembled this list may have had to leave out some soundtracks that, while good, could not be agreed upon to be “the best”. Well, fine, I say. The Philistines who don’t want to see those great works glorified can go die in twelve fires. However, they will not go without mention! No, sir, these soundtracks will get their moment in the sun (actually, I can’t recall what the sun looks like… I need to get out more)!
Episode 31, "The 520 Cenz Promise"

Synopsis: Edward meets up with Alphonse after leaving Lt. Hawkeye’s apartment and the brothers discuss their plans for the future. Edward tells Alphonse what he learned about the time that they couldn’t use alchemy, and they look around for Mei, who has already left Dr. Knox’s house. Roy’s team leaves to their new posts, and he decides to visit Madame Christmas, a woman who runs a brothel, who contacts Lt. General Grumman for him. Ed and Al take Fu to see Ranfan, and he refuses their offer to fit his granddaughter with automail, not wanting to involve them any futher. The two Xingese leave for their country, with Ranfan vowing to return. The next day, Zolf J. Kimbley is let out of prison, it turns out, from Envy, who contracts him to bring back Marcoh and kill Scar. Scar, with Marcoh, plans to head north, where he hid his brother’s research notes.
