Dragon Ball Kai – Episode 54 Review
Episode 54, "Goku Vanishes in Space… Super Warriors, Return to Life!", or "Dr. Brief: Shitty Neighbor"
*****SPOILERS*****
Synopsis: Kaio checks the area where Namek was, and detects no sign of Goku. Yamcha decides to deliver the news to Bulma and the group on Earth via Kaio. Bulma blurts out the news to everyone, but despite Yamcha’s admonishment, stays cheerful. She says that Goku can be brought back with the Namekian Dragon Balls. However, Kaio says that Goku died on a planet that no longer exists, so if he or Kuririn were brought back, they would appear in the vacuum of space, where they would die again. Vegeta suggests that they wish their spirits to Earth and restore them from there. Bulma offers to let the Namekians and Vegeta stay with her at Capsule Corp. Chi-Chi arrives where the others are, concerned about Gohan. Time passes, and Porunga is summoned, but the dragon tells everyone that Goku cannot be wished back, as he is not dead. Kuririn is wished back. They then to wish Goku back to Earth, but the dragon says he refuses to return, and will do so on his own accord. Angry, Vegeta blasts off in a spare spaceship. With another wish, Yamcha is returned to life. Over time, Tenshinhan and Chaozu are also wished back and the Namekians are wished to another planet suitable for them. More time passes and things are peaceful.
Dragon Ball Kai – Episode 53 Review
Episode 53, "Son Goku’s Final Blow… Planet Namek Scatters Throughout Space", or "Why Is Everyone Such A Douchebag?"

Synopsis: Sliced in a few pieces, Freeza lies prone on the ground while Goku stands over him. As Goku walks away, Freeza begs for help. Hesistant, Goku lends him enough energy to move around. Freeza mocks Goku, who insists he can manage to escape. As Goku flies off, Freeza becomes enraged, and fires a blast at him, but Goku returns fire, overwhelming Freeza and seemingly killing him. On Earth, the Namekian Dragon Balls fall from the sky. Saichoro passes his role onto Mori and passes away. On Namek, Goku attempts to use Freeza’s ship to escape, but it doesn’t work, and he leaves as it falls into a pit. Unable to find a way to escape, Goku screams as the planet explodes.

Dragon Ball Kai – Episode 52 Review
Episode 52, "Two Remain on a Vanishing Planet! This is the Final Showdown", or "Cut Me A Slice, Put It In The Freeza"

Synopsis: Gohan and Bulma find themselves back on Earth, along with Piccolo, Vegeta, and the ressurected Namekians. Back on Namek, Goku and Freeza face off again, exchanging blows that tear up the ground and buildings. Freeza throws a large ball of ki which Goku holds back and punches into the sky. On Earth, Saichoro begins to relate the recent happenings to everyone. The battle continues between Goku and Freeza as Gohan is concerned for the safety of his father. Piccolo assures Gohan that Goku will be fine. The body blows intensify in the fight as Kaio watches from his planet. An exhausted Freeza finds it increasingly difficult to keep up with Goku’s speed and is hit hard in the gut. As they face off again, Freeza is stunned when Goku declares he quits the fight. Goku says that the fight is over, that Freeza has been humiliated and he’s satisfied with that. Freeza is enraged and as Goku flies off, he attacks with his own homing Kienzan attack, which Goku tries his best to avoid. Freeza creates a second disc, but Goku avoids them as well, attacking Freeza again. Freeza tries to recover, but is cut in half by his own Kienzan.
Dragon Ball Kai – Episode 51 Review
Episode 51, "Goku’s Furious Battle Cry! Make it in Time… The Resurrection Wish!"

Synopsis: Goku fires a Kamehameha at Freeza, which Freeza avoids. Freeza then burrows Goku deep into a lava pit, claiming victory. Not detecting his father’s ki anymore, Gohan decides to go defeat Freeza on his own, against Bulma’s pleas. Namekians find themselves alive again, as does Vegeta, having been wished back by Shenlong on Earth. Kaio contacts Saichoro, who has also come back. Gohan arrives where Freeza is at, and challenges him, but despite his best efforts doesn’t seem a match. Freeza realizes that he’s stalling for time, but before he can retaliate, Goku emerges from the water and tells Gohan to leave. Goku is enraged when Freeza mentions Kuririn, and the two resume their battle. Kaio tells Saichoro to make a wish on Porunga to transport everyone but Freeza to the planet to Earth, but Goku cuts in and demands that he be left behind, too, to finish the battle. Saichoro contacts Dende to make the wish, and Dende flies to where Porunga is. Freeza notices the dragon and flies towards it to make his wish, but as the wish must be made in the Namekian tongue, is unable to, while Dende is. Vegeta makes an appearance before being suddenly teleported away with everyone else. Goku and Freeza decide to finish things with a body blow fight.
Dragon Ball Kai – Episode 50 Review
Episode 50, "Freeza’s Do-or-Die Full Power! Shenlong, Heed this Wish "

Synopsis: At full power, Freeza attacks Goku ferociously. However, Goku is unimpressed. The planet continues to break apart. Kami tells Kaio that the Dragon Balls are almost all gathered so that Yamcha and Tenshinhan can be wished back, but unfortunately Chaozu can’t. Kaio confirms that the Earth Dragon Balls can wish more than one person back to life and probably on a different planet. Kaio asks if somebody whose life was shortened by stress can be wished back. When Kami says it could work, Kaio suggests that Saichoro could be brought back, and thus the Namekian Dragon Balls. Gohan brings Bulma back to Goku’s spaceship. Freeza realizes that Goku is stalling for time, but says it’s pointless, since he’ll kill the others eventually. Bulma wants to leave Namek while they still can, but Gohan pleads for them to wait for Goku. As Popo summons Shenron on Earth, Goku fires a Kamehameha at Freeza on Namek.
