(Spoiler-Free) Synopsis: Shinji Ikari’s life continues to complicate as new Evangelion pilot Asuka Langley Shikinami, pilot of the EVA Unit 02, arrives in Japan. Asuka stays with Shinji and Misato. Also arriving is a mysterious girl named Mari Illustrious Makinami, who has her own agenda. Again, Shinji has to battle the threat of Angels while trying to understand his father and others. However, Gendo Ikari has his own plans, and a ruthless move on his part causes Shinji to run away yet again. Shinji has to muster the resolve to again pilot his Eva and save everyone.

Synopsis: Hohenheim recalls the circumstances of his leaving his family. At Briggs, soldiers explore the underground tunnel Sloth had been digging and encounter a living shadow who kills them. While Olivier is trying to keep her act up with General Raven, the meeting is interrupted with news on the return of only a horse, with the arm of one of the soldiers still attached. Raven orders that Sloth be returned to the tunnel and it covered up. Miles keeps Kimbley busy, but is irritated by him. Olivier gets Raven to admit that the government had killed the Ishbalans "because they were a weak race" and fed up with his arrogance, she kills him and has him covered along with the hole. She reveals that another passage had been made into the tunnel by Edward. Kimbley visits Ed and Al at their prison cell with a guest in tow: Winry Rockbell.

Synopsis: Gohan transforms himself, unleashing a great amount of power. He immediately snatches back the bag of senzu beans and destroys one Cell Junior in a single blow. He kills another who was tormenting Kuririn. He proceeds to beat on the duplicates. They team up and attack him, but don’t hurt him. He picks them off one by one. He throws the bag of senzu to Trunks and faces off with Cell. Trunks gives Kuririn and others senzu beans. Gohan engages Cell in combat with great speed. Piccolo realizes that Goku fought Cell first to show Gohan how Cell fights. Cell is frustrated with how good Gohan has become.
