Fullmetal Alchemist – Episode 45 Review
Episode 45, "A Rotted Heart"
*****SPOILERS*****
Synopsis: Dante reveals her and Hohenheim’s secret: they made a Philosopher’s Stone ages ago and used it to keep switching bodies to remain young and healthy. However, Hohenheim disappeared, so Dante had homunculi prepare situations for alchemists to create a Stone so she could continue living that way. Alphonse gets a phone call from Shou Tucker and hides it from Edward. Back in Central, Colonel Mustang stands before the military/government officials, claiming that the Elric brothers have gone to another country. He begins to ask pointed questions about Juliet Douglas. Edward and Alphonse disguise themselves for travel and take a train out of town. Hohenheim tells Dante that their souls are breaking down from constant body transfers and she says that she plans to use the Stone that Scar made inside Alphonse. Sloth appears, catching Hohenheim off guard and subdues him. Dante opens an alchemic Gate through Rose’s baby and sends Hohenheim through it. Ed and Al escape from the military and Ed goes to visit Izumi while Al decides to contact Tucker. Roy and Alex are assigned to go attack the North where the brothers are said to be, knowing that it’s a trap. Edward asks if Izumi has a piece of her dead child to use against the homunculus she made. Alphonse meets Tucker at a factory.

Thus a project conceived back in March has finally come to a close.
As this was the third MG Unicorn built, the process was the smoothest and the end result better than the previous two. Painting the psycho frame and exterior pieces when without a hitch. Aside from the green, and the v-fin, the main suit itself is done in four different tones. White, light gray, medium gray, and dark gray.

Synopsis: Lyra leads Rose through a secret passage to a place where the homunculi are. The Elric brothers reveal that Bradley is a homunculus, but keep Al becoming the Philosopher’s Stone to themselves. When the group arrives back in Risembool, Edward angrily confronts his father, but Alphonse is happy to see him. Hohenheim overhears Edward talking about Dante, and is startled. Later, he discusses the homunculi with Roy, telling him they must be raised by an alchemist and that they can’t use alchemy because they come from beyond the Gate. Alphonse decides to spend the night with his father in a tent by their burnt out house. Alphonse tries to keep the homunculus in the shape of his mother a secret. Hohenheim disappears in the morning. Mustang leaves to send back the military and to confirm some things on his own, but orders Ed and Al to stay put. Talking to Sheska, Ed and Al learn of the death of Maes Hughes, enraging Edward. In the place where the homunculi are, Hohenheim arrives, recognizing Lyra as Dante. He uses his alchemy against Dante, telling her to stop manipulating his sons. Meanwhile, Edward digs something up from his mother’s grave.

Episode 43, "The Stray Dog"
*****SPOILERS*****
Synopsis: Winry and Sheska arrive in Risembool, spooked by a strange man, who follows them home. Pinako identifies him as Ed and Al’s father, Hohenheim. The brothers run through the desert, careful not to come in contact due to the Philosopher’s Stone in Al. Roy and his group are approached by Fuhrer King Bradley near the ruins of Lior and orders him to take them into custody. Maria Ross and Denny Brosh come to Risembool reporting to Winry that the military is searching for the brothers. Ed and Al go the back way to Risembool, through a forest, but encounter Mustang’s group, and are confronted by Mustang and Armstrong. Cornering the Elrics, Roy reveals that he was merely upset that they chose not to trust him.
