Episode 62, "A Fierce Counterattack"

*****SPOILERS*****

Synopsis: Father creates more Philosopher’s Stone by taking the souls of soldiers, but Hohenheim, Alphonse, Izumi, and May arrive to stop him. Father distracts the group by creating humans with the souls of the people inside of him, and then unleashes an enormous energy blast that a late Edward also gets caught in. Meanwhile, Greed recruits a group to go fight Father, including Roy, Riza, Alex, and Ranfan. Olivier finds out from Scar that Bradley was already mortally wounded when he fought him, thanks to Buccaneer. When the dust clears from Father’s blast, it appears Alphonse has shielded May at the cost of massive damage and Hohenheim shielded Izumi and Edward. The Briggs soldiers attack Father and Roy and the others arrive to join them. Eventually Father starts to lose control of "God" inside of him and requires more Philosopher’s Stone again. He staggers towards a wounded Edward, but Alphonse decides to use Rentanjutsu and sacrifice himself to restore Edward’s arm. Dragon Ball Kai – Episode 58 Review

Episode 58, "Goku’s New Technique, Instant Movement! Special Training Staked on 3 Years From Now"

*****SPOILERS*****

Synopsis: Goku explains that he escaped Namek by escaping in one of the Ginyu Special Forces’ space pods. He ended up landing on the planet Yardarat, where the natives taught him a special technique, Shunkan Idō (Instantaneous Movement), a teleportation technique. All Goku has to do is lock onto a specific ki and he can teleport where that ki is. He demonstrates it by teleporting to Kame Island and back, proving it by having Muten Roshi’s sunglasses. Bulma suggests they take out Dr. Gero before he unleashes the Artificial Humans, but her idea is rejected by Goku and Vegeta. Kuririn reasons that it’s for the best, since everyone there uses common enemies as a reason to coexist with each other. Everyone seperates to train for three years later. Vegeta has Dr. Brief construct a gravity chamber for him to train in. Goku convinces Chi-Chi to let him train Gohan, and they train with Piccolo. During his gravity training, Vegeta is injured and Bulma stays by his side as he recovers. Three years later, Goku, Gohan, and Piccolo take off to meet with the others. read more

Fullmetal Alchemist Chapter 108 (END) (SPOILERS)

My thoughts on Fullmetal Alchemist chapter 108 (THE END):

One hundred and eight chapters of Hiromu Arakawa’s fantasy-action-drama. Nine years of it. Granted, I haven’t been following it for nine years (more like six), but I feel like I’ve invested quite a bit of time reading, discussing, debating, arguing, ranting, raving, theorizing, fankwanking, reviewing, and spriting the characters, storylines, and mysteries of this epic tale of two brothers looking to get back what they lost in a terrible mistake, guided by the principal they had so tragically ignored. read more
