The end of imgDump

Well, the time has finally come. imgDump will become a memory of internet past.

Why you ask? The cost. Since our big server jump a year ago it’s cost me around €25, ad revenue only brings in about €7, monthly. At the end of this month that price is slated to nearly double, something I can’t keep supporting from my pockets anymore.

Thus, it must come to an end, but we will have a swan song. There are two things I’m planing if I can sort the logistics.

MG Nu Gundam – Finished

Behold, my finished MG Nu Gundam…

Some of you may remember when I posted work in progress photos of my Master Grade Nu Gundam and reviewed the clear pieces themselves even earlier. After a long delay I’ve finally finished the kit.

Over all, the MG Nu is a fine kit. It’s old school gunpla made with the purest of intentions. There’s a quality and design element lost with kits of this era that hasn’t translated to the modern MG kits (for better or worse). While over all the kit is pretty basic, the most impressive element was how Bandai bothered to include die cast metal parts for the lower legs. They dramatically lower the center of gravity and increase stability. Even the rest of the kit is quite sturdy. To sum things up, if you like the Nu design, this kit is a must have. read more

In Central, Bradley admits that while his family and position were given to him, he chose his wife himself. Envy informs Alphonse that Edward has gone missing. Scar gives Envy to Mei, who heads back for Xing. Alphonse takes Winry and the chimeras to Lior. At Central HQ, Olivier is shown a room full of homunculi dolls. In Lior, Alphonse meets Rose again, who asks about Edward. Suddenly, Hohenheim appears in front of his son. read more

Fullmetal Alchemist Chapter 104 (SPOILERS)

My thoughts on Fullmetal Alchemist Chapter 104:

Mei was really hanging in there against Father. But it’s hard to beat a guy who can turn his friggin’ hand into a gun. Wow, that was weird. It’s a good thing Alphonse jumped in and helped her. I’ve never been big on the Xingese characters, but I’m hoping Mei survives all this.

Shorty Edward vs shorty Pride was another highlight of the chapter. Finally, Edward actually gets to do something again in this series. It’s been too long. I mean, it only lasts a few pages, but hey, he got to headbutt the little creep that was easily wasting everyone else in combat. I mean, of course, Pride is weakened because of the Roy sacrifice, but still, it’s good to see him taking some damage, and Ed being the one giving it. If Roy ends up the one taking Pride out, I’m going to be angry. read more
