Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Episode 18 Review

Episode 18, "Bloodshed in Space"

Synopsis:  The boyar nobles, who have made Geiersburg Fortress their base of operations, launch their forces against Reinhard's. However, their strategy is flawed, and Wolfgang Mittermeyer is able to chase them off to Retenberg Fortress. From there, Mittermeyer and Oskar von Reuenthal's forces engage armored troops in a corridor in armed combat. Leading the Lippstadt forces' armored division is Ovlesser, an enormous brute, who Mittermeyer and von Reuenthal lure into a trap. Reinhard, on the advice of Oberstein, returns Ovlesser to Geiersburg, where he's executed in suspicion of treason. Oberstein's plan to throw the nobles into a state of uneasiness is a success.

Episode 17, "The Yang Fleet Mobilizes"

Synopsis:  After an assassination attempt on Admiral Cubersly by Andrew Falk, it appears that rogue elements in the FPA military are ready to foment rebellions. Yang is ordered to put down revolts on several FPA planets, but before he can, there's a coup on Heinessen. The National Salvation Military Council, led by Dwight Greenhill, takes control of the government and military, even taking Admiral Bewcock into custody. Despite her connection to the ringleader, Frederica is surprised to learn that Yang still values her participation. The Yang Fleet disembarks from Iserlohn Fortress to fight the insurrectionists.

Synopsis:  After the Kaiser dies with no named successor, various related parties jockey for position. Reinhard decides to side with the Kaiser's young grandson, Erwin Josef II, a puppet of the Minister of State, Lichtenlade.

Synopsis:  The Free Planets Alliance, after a disastrous invasion of the Galactic Empire, gathers the remains of its expeditionary forces at Amritsar, where they plan to make a stand. Yang Wenli takes in the tattered 10th Fleet in addition to his 13th, with a plan to escape the battlefield with as many ships as possible. As the Imperial fleet encircles, Attenborough engages in diversionary tactics which confound the Black Lancers, allowing the Alliance ships to escape.

Lupin III: Goodbye Partner Review

 
Synopsis: Inspector Zenigata is arrested! The ICPO believe old Pops has been secretly colluding with Lupin this whole time, abetting his crimes! But there's no time for our bored bandit to sort that out, as he's challenged to retrieve a special black diamond that can be used to complete a quantum computer. Somehow, a kidnapped girl named Alisa, the works of Frédéric Chopin, and the President of the United States is tangled up in this, but that's not the only surprise! It seems that Lupin's hetero life mate, Jigen, has betrayed him! Why, after all these years? Will this be a Revolutionary Etude or a Tristesse?

Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative (MOVIE) Review

 

(Basic) Synopsis (Spoiler Free): It's Universal Century year 0097. A year after the "Laplace Incident", there are once again calls for autonomy for Spacenoids, but little being done about it. As if to break the stagnation, the third Gundam Unicorn model, the Phenex, thought to have been lost years previous, reappears. Both the Earth Federation and the Neo-Zeon remnants are determined to capture it for its Newtype capabilities, but they seem to be chasing a literal ghost in the form of its pilot, Rita Bernal. What did she, a Miracle Child, see so many years before that brought these events in alignment? And can either side prevent the bizarre Zoltan Akkenan from igniting a tragedy worse than anything seen before? The Pheonix Hunt will test the limits of all parties!

 

Lupin III Part V Episode 24 Review

Episode 20, "Viva Lupin III"

Synopsis:  Shake Hands is in turmoil as governments of the world clamp down on PeopleLog to prevent leaks of classified information. This is the perfect time for Lupin, with allies past and present, to strike at their HQ once again. The plan is complicated by the US military doing some striking of their own, so our favorite felon has to be fleet to uncage Fujiko before everything collapses. Albert, meanwhile, has his own designs on PeopleLog's resources, and Fujiko demands the answer to her important question. A mask flies off as the clock winds down for this fantastic Lupin series with one last hurrah!
