Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood – Episode 46 Review

Episode 46, "The Creeping Shadow"

*****SPOILERS*****

Synopsis: Time passes, and the time of the Risembool Sheep Festival arrives. A military train is at the train station, and Miles is among soldiers there. Winry is escorted secretly back to her house, where she encounters Edward, Greedling, and the chimeras. Winry tells Ed that Alphonse is in the train, but Ed decides is safer not to go visit him. Winry adjusts Ed’s automail and tells him about Lior’s recovery and that she knows about "the promised day". Ed and his group leave at night for Kanama, to meet up with Hohenheim. In Lior, Scar and Marcoh meet with the other chimeras, and they all meet up with a group of Ishbalans. More time passes, and in the East, the training excercises between the East and the North are being overseen by Fuhrer King Bradley. This concerns General Grumman and Miles who try to come up with a plan to get rid of him. Alphonse wanders out of the train and is chased by Gluttony and Pride, who eventually capture him. In Central, Roy pays Olivier a visit and passes along what he knows about Selim. General Hakuro informs Bradley of the information he gathered about a coup attempt about to be made with the help of the Ishbalans, leading Bradley to take a train home, which is destroyed by soldiers working for Mustang and Grumman. In Central, Olivier considers making her move, but Father arrives with Sloth. read more

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood – Episode 03 ENGLISH DUB Review

Episode 3, "The Town of Heresy"

*****SPOILERS*****

Synopsis: In the town of Lior, the Elric brothers learn of a preist named Cornello who can perform "miracles". Investigating, they discover that the man is a fraud, using what seems to be a Philosopher’s Stone to bypass the law of Equivalent Exchange. Confronting him, they also expose his deception to the townspeople. Edward defeats Cornello, who goes into hiding, only to be killed by two mysterious figures.

Comments:

This was probably the best episode of the Brotherhood dub yet. I think it’s probably because it was about as mediocre as I expected it with no additional surprises of failure. Everyone pretty much sounded exactly the same in their roles as they did in the Lior bit from the first series. It’s not as though that’s glowing praise, but it was tolerable, at least. read more

Dragon Ball Kai – Episode 43 Review

Episode 43, "Son Goku vs Freeza! The Curtain Opens on the Super Decisive Battle!"

Goku is able to deflect powerful attacks from Freeza, which impresses the tyrant. Kaio tells Goku’s friends that he’s putting up a decent fight. Freeza blasts open a hole into the planet and stirs up lava. Goku is pushed into the sea and tries getting Freeza from underwater, distracting him, and then kicking him. Freeze uses telepathy and sends large rocks at Goku, but he destroys them. Freeza than takes a huge chunk of rock and throws it at Goku, who is able to break through it. Freeza binds Goku in a ki bubble and hits him around, then blasts it. Goku survives this, however, and the two face off again. read more

Finished GN-X

After a decent delay my MG GN-X has been finished. (All images link to Flickr)

For whatever reason the paint I applied clips realllly easily. Had to do a lot of touch ups prior to my final top coat. The poses are sort of lack luster because I didn’t want to risk causing more damage than there already is. Unfortunately the arm isn’t strong enough to hold the huge gun on it’s own.

I made sure to not put any coating on the silver pieces. Stands out great this way. read more
